I looked at every book and tape on the market I could find, bought several of them and was completely frustrated. Finally, I found New Czech Step by Step and let out a sigh of relief! The book, together with the CD and workbook included, present the language in a clear, entertaining, step-by-step manner. Not only was it much easier to follow than other book-tape packages, I actually retained more information and could use what I learned in practical day to day experiences. The format, the use of color to designate gender, the exercises and even the illustrations were no less than a revolutionary breakthrough in learning Czech for me. Genius!
